Corn syrup is an ingredient we should definitely avoid. So how do you make a pie without corn syrup??

Using vegetable glycerin instead, you can skip the corn syrup in your from-scratch pecan pie!

An Easy Recipe For Busy Holiday Days

Decorate the top with some cut-out pieces of crust, if the urge strikes, but this pie does not need a top crust.

The filling comes together in 1 bowl in a matter of minutes. Then fill the crust and bake.

Bake it up a day or 2 ahead and keep covered in the fridge. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.

    Instructions
    1. Preheat oven to 325F.
    2. Roll or press pie crust into a 9" pie plate. Refrigerate until ready to fill.
    3. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable glycerin, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Fold in the nuts.
    4. Pour the filling into the prepared crust.
    5. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. The pie will be set when done.
    6. Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
