Only three ingredients, this homemade Paleo Caramel Sauce has all the classic flavor of caramel, but with a simple wholesome twist! Perfect for fall, you can serve this delicious caramel sauce with sliced apples for the ultimate fall treat.

There are some snacks that you consume in your childhood that you never want to let go of. Caramel sauce is one of them for me!

However, most traditional caramel sauces contain excess sugars, fructose corn syrup, and a “caramel” additive. While they tasted delicious as a kid, they’re not exactly a health boost.

Don’t worry, your days of eating caramel sauce are not over. It’s so easy to make your own homemade caramel sauce! This caramel dip contains only three ingredients and tastes, in my opinion, even better than store-bought. It’s sticky, sweet and perfect when paired with crisp fall apples. Plus, it’s kid-approved!

The base of the caramel is Wildly Organic Nut Medley Nut Butter, which is made of organic walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, and pecans. The organic nuts are soaked and dehydrated to rinse off enzyme inhibitors, then they’re ground at low temperatures to preserve the essential fatty acids, proteins, vitamins, and enzymes.

Using nut butter in this caramel sauce keeps the sauce thick, as well as giving a dose of healthy fats. Most people rarely go out of their way to consume hazelnuts which is a shame because they’re deliciously nutrient-dense. They are high in unsaturated fats, magnesium and calcium they’re actually great for kids.

This homemade caramel sauce may not be health food but it’s far better than store-bought. To keep it sweet, we used Wildly Organic Coconut Syrup. Similar to maple syrup in the way it’s processed, coconut syrup is a bit thicker. It also naturally has a caramel-like flavor.

With only three ingredients, this homemade caramel sauce can be whipped up in under five minutes. It works as a tasty after school treat when paired with apples or pears and will help keep kids full. You can also use this paleo caramel sauce as a sweet treat and top your ice cream with it! This caramel sauce takes any ice cream up a notch in flavor.

Most caramel sauces require a thermometer, melting and some skills in the kitchen. This homemade version needs none of that! Since the ingredients already have a caramel-like consistency, all you need to do is whisk them together with a fork.

Take the confusion and difficulty out of making your own caramel sauce and rock this three-ingredient version instead!
